In This Life

I've been to paradise, but I've never been to me.

The NMT will be held tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, June 7th and 8th, like the past years. CCTV news says it’s still the most concerned test in China. Parents, teachers, high schools and universities, the authorities and the media, all of people concentrate on it during the whole summer every year.

I took the test six years ago. And now I still regard it as the best one of which I have taken in more than ten years. But I didn’t continue my excellence in the GCT. I wasn’t well prepared again.

In China, people like expressing it as “single-plank bridge” to success or “crucial turning point” of one’s lifetime. It means how you do in the test determines your rest life. You can’t stand up any more if you fail in it.

So it’s fateful. You can’t lose it.
